State Authorized Professional Mangrove Trimmers (PMTs)

Section 403.9329 of the Mangrove Act provides for the following persons to be considered professional mangrove trimmers:

Additionally, the Mangrove Trimming and Preservation Act identifies requirements for persons who desire to be state mangrove trimmers (who don't meet one of the above). The district lists of state professional mangrove trimmers (PMTs) provided from this page include those persons who qualify as PMTs under S. 403.9329 (f), F.S., and those who have requested to be on the PMT list that qualify for one of the above. These lists were developed to assist the public in locating PMTs in areas where the state has not delegated the mangrove regulatory program. There is no endorsement associated with this list. To find a PMT in your area, select the appropriate district office from the list below.

For questions regarding becoming a PMT in one of the delegated local governments, please contact them directly. Contact information for each delegated program is provided at our Delegated Local Government page.

If you would like more information on how to become a PMT, would like to submit an application to qualify for a PMT, or if you qualify as a PMT and would like to be included on the above lists, please contact a member of the Submerged Lands and Environmental Resource Coordination program or email us at SLERC@dep.state.fl.us
