Fate tracking, molecular investigation, and amputation assessment of SCTLD in the northern Florida Coral Reef

The purpose of this project is to supplement ongoing efforts to understand the impacts of tissue loss disease and freshwater discharge on corals in SE FL’s northern Florida Coral Reef. This project was designed to improve understanding of the current spatial extent of the disease outbreak, prevalence, species affected, timeline of disease progression within colonies, likelihood of mortality due to disease among species, and the physiological responses of corals to disease.
