The International Coastal Cleanup, Apalachicola Riverkeeper, Franklin County Departments of Parks & Recreation, and Solid Waste & Recycling will be sponsoring the 2019 Franklin County Coastal Cleanup on September 21, 2019 from 8:30 am – 11:30 am. This event coincides with the 2019 International Coastal Cleanup, where cleanups are organized in areas around the world. The Franklin County Coastal Cleanup includes two of Florida Department of Environmental Protection's Aquatic Preserves: Alligator Harbor and Apalachicola Bay. At the event, volunteers will be provided trash bags, gloves, data cards, snacks, drinking water, and a free t-shirt. The locations for the Franklin County Cleanup are listed on the flyer below.
