Join the Biscayne Bay Aquatic Preserve and Friends of Biscayne Bay for a community cleanup on event Saturday, July 12, 2025, as part of the 50th anniversary celebration of Florida's Aquatic Preserves. Volunteers will help remove derelict crab traps and other debris from the bay, helping protect important habitats and wildlife.

WHERE: 9610 Old Cutler Road

WHEN: July 12, 2025
8 a.m.-noon EDT
HOW: Register online or email Bethany.Tober@FloridaDEP.gov to register before July 10.
Volunteers will meet at Matheson Hammock Park at 8 a.m. Please wear comfortable, closed-toe shoes. Hats, insect repellent, water, sunscreen and binoculars are recommended.
As a thank-you, volunteers will receive a complimentary Aquatic Preserves water bottle.
