The focus of the Lake Jackson Paddle & Race for Awareness is to bring attention to Lake Jackson and create more awareness about its importance as a natural resource. All proceeds from this event will go to the Friends of Lake Jackson, a not-for-profit advocacy group that has been working to preserve, enhance & maintain Lake Jackson since 1998. Meet Sherry Carpenter, the new Lake Jackson Aquatic Preserve manager at her booth.
