The Department of Environmental Protection's Office of Resilience and Coastal Protection (RCP) coordinates the protection of the state's natural, cultural, and economic coastal resources. DEP manages more than 4 million acres of submerged lands and coastal uplands, including the state's 41 aquatic preserves. Lignumvitae Key Aquatic Preserve, located in Islamorada, is due for an update to the management plan, the document Aquatic Preserve staff use to guide preserve management. We need public input for the management plan and invite you to this public forum.

Public forum objectives:
1. Review purpose and process for revising the Lignumvitae Key Aquatic Preserve management plan. This does not include any regulatory measures.
2. Receive input from the public with a focus on issues, goals, objectives, and strategies.

The information from this public forum will be compiled and used by RCP in the revision of the draft management plan.
