Christian Wagley from HealthyGulf.org contacted me to give a public lecture about the St. Joseph Bay Aquatic Preserve, the research, monitoring, and restoration efforts that are being conducted by our office on SJB, and any future projects. Here is the event description from their Facebook page:

St. Joe Bay is one of the most special places in Florida and along the entire Gulf of Mexico coast. The Bay's warm, clear blue water and seagrass beds look much more like the tropical Caribbean than North Florida.
Join us as we get an update on the health of the Bay from Jonathan Brucker, manager of the Central Panhandle Aquatic Preserves for the Florida Department of Environmental Protection. He'll talk about seagrass beds, scallops, sea turtles, water quality and other elements of life in the Bay. This is a great chance to learn more about St. Joe Bay and how you can get involved in its protection and restoration.
