Cleanup at Project GreenShores for International Coastal Cleanup Day
The Northwest Florida Aquatic Preserves (NWFAP) will host a cleanup event along the waterfront at Project GreenShores. NWFLAP will be using COVID-19 precautions established by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, including using masks and social distancing. Gloves, bags and hand sanitizer will be provided. To maintain distancing, DEP recommends cleaning up solo or in family groups. These groups will be separated down the shoreline.
Signup sheets will be located at the canopy at Project GreenShores. Hand sanitizer and masks will be available. Please bring your own refillable water bottle and hat and/or sunscreen. All participants must wear closed-toe shoes and any children younger than 16 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian.
All cleanup equipment will be provided and trash will be tallied and reported to the Ocean Conservancy through the Clean Swell app. Before arriving, please download this app on your phone. If you're unable to do this, we will provide data sheets for reporting.
