The Florida Department of Environmental Protection’s Division of Air Resource Management has established the Air General Permit Registration Program for various types of facilities meeting the criteria provided in Rule 62-210.310, Florida Administrative Code. An Air General Permit is an authorization by rule to construct or operate a specific type of air pollutant emitting facility. The terms and conditions of an Air General Permit are set forth in the rule rather than in a separately issued air construction or air operation permit. The following facilities are included in the program:

Registration Guidelines

A facility may operate under an Air General Permit for no more than five years. An owner or operator intending to use, or continue to use, an Air General Permit needs to submit the proper registration and $100 processing fee to DEP as required by Rule 62-210.310(2)(b), F.A.C.

You can register, renew, change ownership, surrender, or make administrative corrections to Air General Permits online using the Air General Permit Electronic Registration System (AGPERS) accessible from the DEP Business Portal.

*Note: If you do not have a DEP account, you will need to create one by clicking on “Register” from the DEP Business Portal sign-in page and filling out the required information. Once you register, a verification email will be sent to your email address with a link. Use this link to create a password for your login.

If you do not wish to use AGPERS, you can download and use the Air General Permit Registration Worksheet to help you submit all the information required by Rule 62-210.310(2)(b), F.A.C. Simply click on your facility type listed above, then download and complete the industry specific “Air General Permit Registration Worksheet” and mail it to the address indicated in the worksheet instructions along with the $100 processing fee.

Search DEP's AirInfo Database to find information about existing Air General Permits, including issuance/expiration dates and compliance history. Copies of previous Air General Permit registration submittals and authorization letters can be accessed from the DEP Enterprise Information Portal.
